Factors include:
Your current knowledge of the Medicare plan options, such as Parts A-D, Medigap supplements, Medicare Advantage, and many variations for individual health and financial circumstances.
Your current health needs and grounded foresight about your health risks.
Your preference for paying up-front for coverage vs. paying as events arise. We can help you to foresee likely annual costs for different health events under different Medicare plans.
Current plans in your area and the relative costs and benefits of each, given your health prospects.
We think this is a great arrangement. This payment structure is a primary reason that we choose to be independent agents. We are free to advise you on many options since we represent many plans and carriers (though not all). Your plan costs are not affected by your use of our advisory services. You can go it alone but you pay the same costs either way.
We are not in the business of pushing anyone into a Medigap or Medicare Advantage plan. Chances are, you already know that you want to supplement your basic Medicare somehow. Nearly every senior in America (94%*) will buy a Medigap supplement, a Medicare Advantage plan, or have Medicaid or an employer supplement their basic Medicare. We can simply guide you to the options that fit your needs. Naturally, if you don't choose a plan through us, we do not get paid. But we believe that you should have that choice.
We also do not push you into a plan with higher commissions. All insurers pay fair commissions. We aim to provide advice that will fulfill client interests. Our clients have trusted us for this reason. That trust is far more important to us than enrolling every person we meet or steering them in our own direction.
Your first Medicare choice is where to get advice - before you even get to the complexity of benefits and costs for your Medicare options. We work to earn your trust and give advice that will help you make those choices.
Enough folks choose us as their agent. We plan extra time to help people who may not choose to enroll through us.
Also keep in mind that anyone can see all Medicare policies available in their zip code through Medicare.gov/plan-compare. If you want to do your own research and see up-to-date plans and benefits for every possible policy - this is the trusted source. All other sources, including Medicare Foresight, are recycling the information here.
There is no doubt that we are biased. We accept that this is impossible to avoid. However, we work to mitigate that bias in favor of clients' best interests. We do research according to high standards of data quality. We intentionally represent multiple insurance companies. We plan ample time and ask our clients tailored questions to be sure we are listening to and advising around their needs.
Medicare Foresight strives to give informative advice so that you might be more confident in your choice. That advice is paid for when you enroll through us. The insurance company you choose pays us a commission. We remain your on-call agents every year thereafter, even if you need to switch to another insurance company that we represent.
You can always enroll in a plan directly at Medicare.gov. You can call 1-800-Medicare and get support. You never need to use an independent agent. You can research and evaluate every possible plan on your own at Medicare.gov/plan-compare.
You can also get independent advice from trained staff in each state through the Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP). Search for your local SHIP phone number here. This support is also free to you.
Our part is to help you evaluate your risks, costs, and options. We are paid by whatever insurance company you choose - not by you.
You do not get a better price for any plan by going without agent support. We hope you will benefit from choosing to get our help. We will be a phone call or text message away for the rest of your life (that we remain your agent).

We work to recommend a plan that fits your individual needs. We talk straight and plain. No gimmicks. We have biases like everyone but we work to reduce them and favor client needs above all.
We are trained to listen and understand. We strive to talk with you about your Medicare insurance decisions like a trusted friend. Our advice follows our effort to understand you.
Your call rings our cell phones. We answer many calls as they come in and we call back within a few hours in nearly every case. When you have any issue with coverage or question about your benefits, you can call us first.
Medicare decisions are complex. However, there are a lot of data available and we know where to find those data. We also learn about you and your needs. We read and gather data to help us find a plan that fits each customers' needs.
We are in this with you for the long term. Your health will change and so will Medicare plans. We anchor all of our advice in long-term thinking, not short-term emotions. And through those years, you will always have our help right at hand for your Medicare and health questions.
